HR/Payroll people need quick help/answer
If an employee had a scheduled vacation day today, yet the office was closed due to the blizzard-how does the employee get paid for the day? As the originally scheduled vacation day or as regular pay (like everyone else) and vacation day now gets to be used another day?

This all depends on how your company's handbook or vacation policy or collective bargaining agreement is worded.
Sorry for the vague answer but there is no one true answer to your question.

if your scheduled for vaca its a vaca day (that is what i have been told) if your scheduled for work and then the office closed then your allowed that "free" day. This was at my old jobs, where i work now we never technically close (college SUNY) only cancel classes but staff is required to show.
