HR question repost from PG board
I know I get the 3 months no pay State disability What other questions should I ask? Health ins…. Am I covered the whole 3 months I am out? DO I pay them back for the 3 months? What if I don’t come back do I still pay them back for the health ins? (Can I even ask these questions?)

Re: HR question repost from PG board
Yes, you should be covered all three months.
If it is at no pay, they usually give you two options:
1. Pay by check biweekly.
2. Have the full amount taken out of your first paycheck back.
If you don't return you would owe them the benefits payments you would have made.
But honestly, we almost never go after that amount if the employee doesn't return. It depends on how rigid your company is.

Yes. Sorry, that's what I meant by the 2nd option. They will take what you owe out of your first paycheck back.
At least that's how our company does it.

Unfortunately, we do request the money regardless. I would be prepared just in case to have the funds.
Ask them the process from start to finish. Do you have to call your manager after your STD is over? Do you have to call him/her prior to your return or can you come back? Is there anything that they need for you to sign (FMLA Policy)?
