HSBC confirmed customer card data was stolen - this includes debit cards.

I had received a letter from them a while ago stating that my "credit card information may have been stolen" from a website that I had purchased from. They did not tell me what website and were issuing me a new card. They said to watch my statements carefully. Nothing ever transpired, knock wood, but you think they would have called if it was important and not send a letter.
