has anyone had a hsg at Nassau Radiologic? how was it?

I had mine at Next Generation Radiology in Port Jeff. I was nervous and expecting a lot of pain but it was a breeze. Seriously.
Everyone's pain tolerance is different I know but I think I have a pretty low tolerance (my annual pap is what I'd call "painful") but this HSG didn't even register on the pain scale.
Hopefully, it'll be just as easy for you. Take a few (4?) Motrin about an hour before you go. Good luck!

I didn't have my hsg there, either.
You will probably feel cramping. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain and I felt very crampy during the procedure. I didn't take anything before the procedure; I don't remember if I took anything after.

MrsBSD - LI IVF sent you there? i'm asking cuz apparently nassau radiologic only does them smack in middle of the day, and i really don't want to take off more than i have too. what time was yours? how long did it take?

I dont want to scare you but you may want the whole day off, just in case.
I know the MAJORITY of girls had painless hsg's but there were some of us who had painful ones. Mine was bad. it was FAST but I was crampy afterwards and all I wanted to do was go to sleep once it was over.

I agree. MIne was painful and I have a high tolerance (delivered a baby drug free no problem). I had to go to work afterwards and I actually went home for a while before I could go to work. I dont think I took anythign before the test though, so maybe that helps.
Plan for the worst case, hope for the best

Sorry - I just saw this!
I don't go to LI IVF. My ob/gyn sent me to Next Generation. My appointment was at 8:15. I was out by 9am. (though I *did* take the day off 'cause I felt I like deserved it!)

I had mine at nassau radiologic but at the hilton address. I wont lie it HURT!!!! and I went to work that day too. I just took it very slow and my job is very active- I work with kids only and am a dental hygienist. trying to walk right after the procedure was very difficult. Do NOT go by yourself! I know for myself I could not drive right after. a few hours later I was able to.
