Huge Flag Draped over Merrick Ave in North Merrick...
Does anyone know why? They have two huge firetrucks with firemen holding it over Merrick Ave near Sacred Heart. The flag is enormous.

perhaps it is for a funeral procession of a fireman?

Is it by a funeral home. They did something similiar to that outside a funeral home by me when a officer in the navy died.

Usually that means a fireman has passed away. I have seen it in ither areas a few times.

This is correct. (DH is a fireman )
My DH is a Firefighter too. Yep, a fireman died. May s/he rest in peace.
