i wrote this whole long thing, then i realized i should mind my own business god forbid someone knows them on this website.
They are splitting up.
I just moved in 3 months ago, and they are the nicest people.

Sad to say but that is not an uncommon reason for a lot of families to sell the house.
As the largest marital asset for most couples, when they split they also want to sell the house and split the proceeds.
