HUGE sigh of relief and so many thanks for.....
all your encouraging words and many prayers since I asked for them last week.
As a recap, I had gone in for my 12 week appt. and NT scan on Wednesday morning. They noticed a huge increase in the neck thickness and without hesitation, my OB was on the phone with Perinatal Associates and I was being scheduled for a CVS testing. I went Friday.
The second sono revealed the same as my OB. I was way above the 95th percentile and above the cutoff of 3.5 (I was measuring a 4.7). So I had the CVS testing done.
The testing wasn't bad at all. Just a pinch and some wiggles of the needle and I was done. The waiting over the long weekend was the most agonizing part. Today I received a call that the first part of the testing came back (quick test results - FISH testing). I am happy to report that I have 2 of each of the following chromosomes:13, 18 and 21. Which at this point can rule out Down Syndrome with about 99% certainty (docs words). That's the good news!
The bad news is I still have to wait for the full panel of testing to come back in about another week. So keep them prayers coming, I know they work!   They will be testing and looking for other things like heart defects, etc.

great news--- I had my CVS testing done 5 weeks ago-- my initial results came back fine, and so did the final. They say the initial is like 95% accurate.
