Hunger Games Books 2 and 3

I couldn't put the first book down but I got the second one and totally could not get into it...Then I had to return it to the library.

Anyone else have that problem?

Nope, the first 2 went really quickly for me. The 3rd one didn't go as fast because I didn't like it as much as the first 2.

no...I couldn't put the second one down. I think I actually liked it better than book 1.

Book 3 took me longer because I didn't like it as much.

Same here! It was just the third one I wasn't too crazy about.

I felt they all had a slow start....Book 1 I got into quicker than the others...Book 2 took a while and Book 3 took forever Chat Icon

I gotta admit...I'm not too crazy about this series.

Re: Hunger Games Books 2 and 3

I'm gonna be honest, I LOVED the first book and the second book was really great in its own right but I had a really hard time with loving the third one.

********IF YOU DIDNT FINISH THE THIRD ONE STOP READING HERE!!!!********

I get that its a war and everything but I just felt like it was a little lazy, the ending was WAY too rushed for all the crap that went down and she never really put Katniss back together again.

Also, I had a really hard time with them killing Prim. It made me feel so dejected and sad that all her work to try and keep her sister alive basically her entire life was for nothing. She was never really mourned and the whole ending of everyone going there seperate ways felt really rushed. Like ok Gale just left and went to District 2 and that was it? Do they not even speak to each other any more? That's sad even though Prim's death was most likely his fault.

I was also a bit dissapointed that Katniss was so essential to the revolt and then just tossed aside after it was over and just pretty much left alone. AND she couldn't even stand trial for herself. Like I said, just slightly dissapointed in the ending to such a great trilogy. But I was very happy she ended up with Peeta and I did truly enjoy the epilogue. I really didn't want this series to end!Chat Icon
