Hunter Douglas Pirouette blinds
Anyone have them? The good, the bad and the ugly - any thoughts? I love the way they look but they are so $$$$. Want to make sure they are worth it before ordering them.

Re: Hunter Douglas Pirouette blinds
We have the HD silhouettes in our master bedroom and our DR and I absolutely LOVE them.
I can't tell the difference b/w the Pirouettes and the Silhouettes.
Go for it.
The only cons are that they don't block light - but we got used to them in our BR and they have to stay "closed" when you open them. That isn't really an issue b/c they don't block light anyway.
Pros - they're just gorgeous.
We have bright white in our BR and a tan color in our DR. I'm pretty sure I have an album named Window Treatments if you want to see the silhouettes up close... They look almost identical to the pirouettes.

Re: Hunter Douglas Pirouette blinds
Thanks for the info. So glad to hear that you love them. The difference is that the pirouettes don't have the sheer covering on the front - each piece of the fabric comes down like a "balloon shade", but then you can open it up between each piece so that you can see through to the outside when they are open (like the silhouettes). The guy that came to the hosue told us that the pirouettes are a brand new design. Right now we are going to do the pirouettes in the living room, dining room and den. If we decide to do the bedrooms we would do the room darkening ones.
