Big parking lot on south side of Main Street by that cemetery & a church (kind of across from Scentsational & Mundays). We had to walk a bit, not bad though.

Re: Huntington fall fest
it is down NY Ave, on the roads surrounding the park and then there are some vendors and rides inside the park as well.

There WAS stuff on NY Ave? Where? We drove down it & it looked like just a normal day. No vendors on the street. Everything was in & around the park only.

Although it was still a really nice festival & we had a great time, I guess all the hype led me to believe it was ALL of Huntington Village that was involved. I thought the stores would have tables outside their establishments selling stuff, maybe a couple of the bigger streets would have been closed down for vendors (NY Ave, Main St, Wall St. etc...)
Did I miss something???
But by all means, GO! It was still lots of fun & there was tons of really good food vendors (Famous Daves!!!!, hot apple cider, fudge, candy apples , etc...), a carnival, you know, the usual street fair jazz.

Re: Huntington fall fest
i have never went..
I remember when the Oysterfest was exactly what you described.. I LOVED IT..
and although i still go every year it just isn't the same now that they moved the area..
I might go to the Huntington one tomorrow..
just to check it out
were the vendors primarily food?

No, not primarily food. But if you're expecting a LOT of crafts, you'll be disappointed. But it's not a craft fair. They have vendors selling stuff, but I wasn't head over heels for anything. A lot of the jewelry vendors, baby stuff, every radio station that airs in LI, politicians, realtors, gutter cleaners... But of course they had Little Shelter & another animal rescue do I just HAD to donate!
If you mean you're going "tomorrow" Columbus Day, I think the festival is food/carnival only. Check out the site at the bottom...
Yeah, Oysterfest used to be awesome, It's just ok now IMO. LI Fall Fest

Re: Huntington fall fest
WE parked on East Main Street at one of the doctor's offices before you get to town. We walked about a half a mile to get to the festival.
Mmmmmm.... roasted corn and funnel cake.
Lots and lots of dogs and baby carriages!

Re: Huntington fall fest
ok, we went todsay, and no iffense, but the dogs were ANNOYING!!! Some of the owners paid no attentin to the fact that they were in my kids' faces and the leashes were getting caught everywhere, and some of the dogs were growling at other dogs, in my opinion, keep your dog at home, there were so many people complaining about the dogs, but then again, te strollers were a nuisance too, we had a double stroller and a single and we must of hit into 100 people , it was sooo crowded, but the beer/wine tasting was nice
