I use the gentle Naturals drops...same thing, just in drop form. Actually, I think they now make Hylands in drop for as well as the tablets.
Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Yes, you can use them at 4 months old.

I just went out today and bought the humphrey brand. I was between the two. These are like alka seltzer pellets (smaller). she seems okay but is throwing her fist down her throat today. Do ya think that means we will have teeth within the month? I cant stand watching this... isnt it a bit early?

Re: HYLAND OR HUMPHREY TEETHING TABLETS?
Paulette, Hannah's fist is ALWAYS in her mouth. She even has little cuts on her fingers - I guess from knawing???? I haven't given her anything yet except teething toys. I really never heard of these teething tablets until my cousin told me about them today. I'll have to look into it.
My ped said he sees no signs of teeth yet, so I don't know if the fist in the mouth means anything.

what about drool all over the place? She hasnt done this ever. all of a sudden this week it began. Let me know if you hear anything about using these. I tried tonite for the first time and it seemed to quiet her down but I guess rum would have done that too...LOL

Re: HYLAND OR HUMPHREY TEETHING TABLETS?
Yeah she's pretty drooly. How can she not between the fist and all the "raspberry's" she makes. Spit is just everywhere!!!
Ya know Hannah has NOT slept in 12 days. I keep thinking its still because of her ear infection, maybe its part teething too? She's on the last day of her antibotic and still waking up every 2 hours. I'm going to bring her in to get her ears checked again tomorrow if she doesn't sleep through tonight. If her ears are clear, then I guess its the teeth!!!

Re: HYLAND OR HUMPHREY TEETHING TABLETS?
Paulette, Steven's been teething for almost 3 months now. It's been really bad for the last 2 months. All the drool and the fist in the mouth doesn't mean it's coming any sooner Sorry. I know how you feel. It's hard to see them in so much discomfort and there is nothing you can do about it

Unfortunately, I have to agree with this
Nikolas showed signs of teethign since he was 2 months old... drooling like mad, fists (and everything else) in mouth, cranky at night and swollen gums, etc. Our pediatrician even thought he might break a tooth early since he was teething SO early. Well lo and behold, he will be 6 months this week and NOT a sign of a tooth whatsoever! We have literally been in teething hell for roughly 4 months and now I'm beginning to think that this might continue for some time The last 3-4 weeks have been particularly bad.. he has out and out stopped sleeping through the night and has screaming fits from the pain (breaks my heart )
I have been using the Hylands.. its hit or miss as Steph said. We also use Orajel at night (settles him down to sleep, not much more) and when its really bad and he is running a low fever we give Tylenol at bedtime. I actually ordered the Humphrey's from Walgreens online and just got them today (there aren't any Walgreen's by us and I couldn't find them anywhere else) and will try them tonight..I don't expect them to work much better than the Hylands but hey I'm desparate
I hope all our babies are feeling better soon

Re: HYLAND OR HUMPHREY TEETHING TABLETS?
I have to say...they melted in a tsp of water in a cup but I wasnt quite sure if she was supposed to drink it or I was supposed to apply it. It looked like pills not an analgesic so I gave it to her in liquid form and let her drink it. She seemed a little better after this was done. I hope I did it right.
