Hypnobirthing - video?

I'm looking into birthing classes for the fall and leaning towards hypnobirthing. I was going to do a class b/c I think I work better with an instructor there - but for those who did the video at home - did you find ti helpful? Were you able to use it during labor?

My friend swears by hypnobirthing - she had her ds in an hour and a half using the techiniques she learned in the class. She sent me her book and CD's and I read and listened to them but don't think I've had enough "training" to get my mind into the state they teach you. How long is the video? If I had more time (due in less than 5 weeks) I def would have taken the class.
