Hypothyroid
Did they raise your Sinthroid dose while TTC? I just left my new Doctor and he told me to start on this new *much higher* dose after my lab work comes back. We're not PG yet but dabbling with TTC.. Just curious if this is preventative or what.

Re: Hypothyroid
I don't know what your level is, but from what I understand, they like to see it between 2-3 when TTC and pregnant.

Re: Hypothyroid
I am not sure about dosages of medication but I do know that thyroid conditions are associated with infertility if not treated properly. You might want to ask some more questions at your next appointment. Good luck.

Re: Hypothyroid
I have Hypothyroidism, and dh and I will be TTCing in the next few months. Right now I'm on 175mcg of Synthroid, and my doc told me to expect an increase when I become pg.
Raising the dosage is normal and supposedly it compensates for what your body is lacking during pregnancy.

True - my doc suggested starting prenatals between 6mos- a year prior to TTC. I've been on prenatals for almost 2 mos now, and hopefully this will do the trick.
