I admit I am defeated...... I just cannot be supermom!

As much as I tried to stay on top of it all. The PT job, getting more training for my job, the therapies for DS (and dealing with his therapists is almost a full time job), finding him a school for September and dealing with the conversion from EI to the school district with an unresponsive chairman , being in charge of all the housework and complete outside work. I just $ uck at trying to disperse myself in 50 different directions. DH does help as much as he can (he does the groceries) and he does work FT in the City.

I spent about 4 hours doing yardwork yesterday while DS was in therapies. I did not even finish the weeding on the beds and could not even do the edge of the lawn. And that's to be done every week now.

So I told DH I wanted our landscaper back. Those guys do it in 15-20 minutes. I will sacrifice take-out or something else to see those guys once a week.

I took the pool down and I am getting rid of it. Too much work! We are going back to local town pools.

I called my mother helper back (I did not see her since last August) and she is coming this week for a couple of hours.

sorry... vent over! I realize that I just can't do it all!

I hear you... I'm interviewing a housekeeper/cleaning person tonight to come and help with cleaning and laundry I'm so bogged down lately....

I think admitting you need help is a good thing!

Sounds like you are Supermom to me!! If you can afford it, I would totally get the landscaper back at the least! You are doing a great job! Hang in there!

S, no matter WHAT gets done, you ARE IMO, SUPERMOM!!!

I think you are amazing the way you advocate for EJ and enjoy your life with your boys

You are supermom!
You do so much every day and are a great mom!
We had landscapers come and my goodness what a difference in a matter of about 2 hours!
As for the inside of the house, I try my best to "Clean As I Go".
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.
I do make sure the 2 rooms the therapists use daily are wiped down and vacuumed. Also the bathroom.
The bedroom doors stay completley shut! I work on those rooms on the weekends.

Getting the help and support system you need is being a SUPER MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Sometimes, I can't clean it and someone else can

Sometimes, I can't cook it and someone else will

Sometimes, there is better use of my time--whether it be with my baby or for my own sanity.

Sometimes, my hard earned money needs to work FOR me, whether it be takeout, a cleaning person once or month or a good PEOPLE magazine at my bedside.

Sometimes, I just want to come home, lay down with my baby and not worry about anything else.

Sometimes, I just want to be alone with me.

Any mom who knows what she needs to do to make things more effective for her child, her family, and her life sounds like SUPERMOM to me

You ARE supermom!!!!! He adores you and loves you. That's all that matters.

i completely understand! today for the first time since i was pg with josh, i had a spa day (during nap time.) i treated myself and it was HEAVEN! try to take some time to do what you want instead of what you have to do if you can.

You need to give yourself more credit It sounds to me like you're doing a fantastic job. No one can handle it all...its impossible. You're dealing with A LOT and if you can step back and realize that you have a little too much on your plate and need a bit of help, that DOES make you supermom.

I know what you mean.

In my mind, becoming a SAHM was going to clear up all of my problems--I'd get to spend time with my DD instead of stressing over work, my house would *finally* be spotless, my laundry would be done and folded, and all would be well!

I had no idea!!! Like you, I've realized that I can't do it all. In my mind, there's no shame in having some help. I can tell you right now that without my cleaning lady and our landscape guys, we'd be in big trouble!

It is hard to admit you need help sometimes, but I admire you for doing just that and looking for ways to lessen your load.

And I agree with others, you are still supermom!

I give up too...Im working a f/t and p/job, trying to finish my masters...its just too much. I think I am going to get a cleaning lady which I swore I would never do but I just can't keep up

I am just an overly stressed and tired mommy whose child no longer naps (and wakes up before 6am every day)and I came to the conclusion that I just cannot make it work anymore.

So I am giving up some control to try to regain my sanity. Because when I add it all, there is just no way for me to do all I try to do and still go to work on weekends.

I realized that giving up a small portion of it will help me be a better mommy to DS. I won't be as "hyper and impatient" because I am just too tired.
