I am 16 wks. and at that stage where I don't look pregnant yet, just fat...
with a big belly and I have felt so self-conscious and yucky lately. I ask dh all the time if I look fat or ok. I never did that before. I was also fine with my body. And I know everyone says expect it you are pregnant, and I do, I just feel like I am at a bad stage. My regularl clothes are a little snug, but maternity clothes are too big still. Anyone else go through this?

Yes, I went through this. But you'll "pop" soon enough, trust me. I started to truly show around 18 weeks or so.

You sound EXACTLY like me at 16 weeks. I finally got over it at about 20-22 wks when I finally started looking pregnant to everyone else. Its not a fun time but it passes so quickly
You will be eating up the compliments at 25+ wks whenever someone tells you how cute your belly is- promise.

yep..until 22 weeks, I looked fat not pg. It was a horrible feeling but before you know it, the bloating will go away and you will start looking pg

I'm at 6.5 weeks and already too big for my regular clothes! I think I'll be gaining more weight this time than the first time. In my first pregnancy, I got too big rather quickly as well...but I didn't resemble pregnant until about 6-7 months because I wasn't gaining much weight.

I'm feeling the same way. At 14.5 weeks, I'm still in my regular clothes, but I have this beer belly that just looks like I had one too many the night before. Perhaps this is the same for you, but everyone keeps telling me they can't tell at all and it's all in my head. I'm just not used to carrying around these 5 extra pounds, but apparently, it's not as noticeable to everyone else as I think it is.

that's just it...it's not noticable to most people because when you say pregnant to most people, they envision a giant belly.
