I am...
so out of shape
I just tried (for the 2nd time) Level 2 of the 30 day shred, and I honestly feel like I am going to fall over. I had to stop it numerous times to catch my breath, and get my heartrate back down.
I used to be in such great shape... What happen to me

Don't feel bad! Level 2 of the Shred is haaaaard. Maybe do level 1 a few more times before moving on to the next one. You'll get there!

Just think about how many calories you are burning That's okay Marcie - we all have to start from somewhere Even people who are fit and change up their activities need to adjust when it's something new. Hang in there!!

totally understand....there was a time in my life that i was running and in shape and felt good now by the time i finishe with a jog i am so shot and tired its not a pretty sight

Try not to be so hard on yourself! You are doing this to get back into shape. Pretty soon you will be able to do it with out stopping. Try thinking in the long term instead of what's happening at the moment

It's supposed to be hard! Like Jillian says...the only way to change your body is to put stress on it...keep it up and it will get easier...not easy, but easier. It really works

I used to be in amazing shape...I was thrilled to just make it through Level 1 of that DVD...it's hard. Keep trying, you will get there!!

Don't feel bad!!! I felt that way from level one and GAVE UP. Although I'm committed to try again starting tonight since DH starts basketball season.
Honestly, I am so out of shape, I've been getting winded playing frisbee with the puppy in the yard

It is a workout DVD by Jillian Michaels from the Biggest Loser
and - thanks everyone. I have been continuing doing the DVD pretty much every other day - still killing me - and I have to keep stopping it so I can catch my breath - but I am turning back on and trying my best to finishing it

Exactly.
First of all, getting in shape and staying in shape are HARD. Otherwise, everyone would have rock hard abs and buns of steel! What is important to remember is that you won't see results overnight. It takes time. That is what sucks and what causes a lot of people to give up. That is what you DON'T want to do b/c inevitably, in 4 months, you will regret stopping when in that time, you might have seen the amazing and inspiring results that could have been.
What I am saying is this...okay, right now, TODAY, you are out of shape. So are A LOT of people. But what separates you from them is that you will not stop. You will keep working at it. You will put that dvd on and probably hate it and have to push yourself to get changed into workout clothes, but you will still do it. And in a few months, you will look back and think of where you are and where you WOULD have been had you stopped. But you aren't going to do that. Time is going to come whether you exercise or not. How you greet that time is the hard part. Marcie, you continue to do the video and I promise you, in time, you WILL see results and you WILL have inspired yourself to keep going and go harder!
And as a plus, the more out of shape you are, the faster you will see the results!
