I am coming out!
I have been crocheting for the past 3 weeks, and I am ADDICTED!!!!
I have not touched yarn or a crochet needle since I was 14, JHS Home Economics class
anyhow - I am just getting started and having fun trying different stitches.
can anyone recommend a place that sells yarn that is NOT 100% acrylic? I am allergic to acrylic, and 100% wool too.
I've been buying my yarn at AC Moore, it's a 50% cotton 50% acrylic blend. but the balls of yarn are reletively small, about 200 yards. I would so love to get one of those massive 1 pounders lol. all the larger balls of yarn are 100% acrylic I checked Michael's too - AC Moore has the best selection, but still... not much selection for the cotton blends.

Re: I am coming out!
I love working with the cotton ease - its so easy to work with and doesnt split easily. You could also try the cotton bamboo blend - its 52% cotton and 48% bamboo so that could help with your allergies and the colors are so pretty. Post pics of your finished project!

I also went to Jo-Anne's Fabrics and got 2 balls of yarn that are 100% cotton. they were really cheap, only $2.79 each. the yarn is called "Sugar and Cream". I got in this color
