I am dreading the summer.....what kinda tree is it??

We have a tree in the backyard of our apartment that literally smells disgusting. We call it "The Beat Off tree" because that is what it smells like. W T H kinda tree is this??

We had one in front of our house that reeks! It had smelly white flowers that thankfully all fell off!

They are called Bradford Pear Trees and they only give off that smell in the spring when they flower. The rest of the summer and fall the leaves are green.

it's funny b/c we don't have them down here....we called them P***Y trees where i grew up

We had one in front of our house in Binghamton and called it the Period Tree. It was right outside my bedroom window. Ah, college memories.

Yup its a linden tree. Ugh it smells so bad. It smells soooo bad in the summer some days I gag!!!!!!! PS the video made me laugh sooo hard.
