I am feeling guilty about not bringing Andrew to get his pictures taken
I don't know why. I have an appt this week at Sears just in case. DH said no because I have all the props, backdrops etc but I just think strangers can take his pic better And I really do enjoy the experience of going.
Is it possible to only spend a small amount when there?

I would not go, you spent all that money on your own props so you could do it, right?
you do a great job, I would not spend money to take him to sears

Why would you want to pay someone for something you can totally do yourself?!? I would if I could!!!!
You take great pics! Have fun and save some $$!!
Definitely not something you should feel guilty about!

I always do all my own photos. I think "Why have a stranger take pics when I can do it myself, and probably better." DC are more comfortable, I can take the pics when THEY are in a good mood, I can stop if they get antsy, and try again later. There are just so many benefits to doing it at home, especially since you have the props already.

Girl you better NOT go! You already have the props and everything and to me it would make no sense for you to spend more money.
You always take such cute pics of Andrew!

I have never taken Grace for professional pics nor will I ever. Why when I have a fancy camera that takes great shots? You have taken great shots of Andrew.

I completely understand. I would love to take my kids for professional photos but I can't see justifying it.
For me to get the shots I want, I'd have to hire a $$$$ photographer. For that much, I'd rather upgrade my own equipment.

Don't feel guilty if it's your decision. But if it's cost that keeping you from doing it, it can be done cheaply. That's why I take Ellie to Picture People. I got 2 8X10 xmas shots that I have scanned and played with for less than $20 so I'm pleased and so is my frugal DH!

I guess I am on the other side here. Go to Sears and get the smallest package if that makes you happy- No harm in it.
It's great to be able to take your own pix, but if you want some professional ones, I would say go for it!

Re: I am feeling guilty about not bringing Andrew to get his pictures taken
I always walk out with only the package. The trick is to leave your house with 15.00 cash...no cards or checks If you aren't happy with the one pose, get it anyway and tell yourself you can go back next week and spend another 15.00...its still cheaper then what you would normally get.
Play around with your props though, I am sure your pics would turn out great. I did a huge project for father's day...6 poses. 2 days for each pose. Spread it out.

Re: I am feeling guilty about not bringing Andrew to get his pictures taken
It's possible to walk out spending very little! I did it! We went Sat. and I spent $9.99 plus tax. I got the 35 portrait trial package with the coupon on their site, and combined that with the free 10x13 coupon. This obviously won't work if you have a ton of people to send pics to though.
The 35 portrait package includes 1 8x10, 2 5x7, 16 wallets and 16 portrait petites. If you want to buy additional sheets, that's where they get you. It's 19.99 per sheet.
