I am finishing my basement. If anyone has done this and took pictures, can you please post them
I need some ideas. DH and I are very excited about this process!

I live in a split so my basement is half above ground and half below ground. There are pictures of my renovation in my album when we redid it last year.

Well, I have this vision of a chair rail and perhaps earthy type colors - ceramic tile for flooring so far.. what about you? I am so new to this.. lol

I have this vision of a beach theme. Light colors, slate blue and tan on the walls, dark bamboo floors, a tan sectional, a pub style table in another area and sheers on the windows.  Now I want to be in the tropics. Our deck and pool are right off of this room, so tht is how I came up with the theme.
I like your ideas too. chair rail is really nice. You can do nice green colors. Do a two tone with the chair rail. Nice ceramic tile with a nice area rug. Sounds really nice too me. Ask me anything you want, I love decorating.
