I am in potty training hell
Day 3 of cold turkey no diapers pt-ing and I don't think anything in my professional or personal life has ever put this much of a strain on DH and I. Also don't feel like we're making much progress and after today I have to go back to work and DD has to go back to school. Uhoh.

Re: I am in potty training hell
Maybe she isn't ready??
I've hear it can take a month of frustration to potty train a child that isn't ready, or less than a week to train one that is.
Of course I have no idea because I am too chicken-shyyte to try yet....

Re: I am in potty training hell
I don't think she is ready either.
My friend tried going cold turkey on her daughter when she turned 3 also. It was a week from hell for her. She didn't mind being wet in her pants and had soooo many accidents. Finally she just put her back into pull ups. Then one day her daughter said she wanted a green potty and the not the color that they had. She bought the green potty and went ever since. She was just shy of 3.5yrs. Now at 4 she is fully trained but still needs to be reminded to go sometimes.
I think the more you push her the less she is going to want to do it.

Re: I am in potty training hell
try the video "potty power".
I used to let DD watch it as MUCH as she wanted, but she had to sit on the potty while watching.
It reeeeally helped...
That being said I don't disagree with the other posters...maybe she isn't ready?

Re: I am in potty training hell
I agree with MrsR - potty power worked wonders for us, and I would put her little potty in the living room, in front of the TV, so she would sit on it whlie watching.
Other than that, you really have to make sure they are ready otherwise it can backfire. And the most important thing is not to stress about it. She'll sense the stress and it will become a power play.
I just used lots and lots of incentives (sticker chart, skittles, gifts, etc). I didn't put her into undies full-time until she asked for it - that way it was her idea.
Good luck!
