Yes you can give tylenol. I also give motrin at night for the pain. Nighttime is when the teeth grow the most. I also put cold watermelon or other fruits in the netted mesh thing and he chomps away. It tastes good and feels good on the gums.

I am right there with you
DS had his two bottom teeth come in, and now the top ones are on their way. We gave him Tylenol at night (ped told us the dosage- based on weight). During the day, we just give him lots of things to bite on, does not seem to matter if they are cold or not. Other people swear by Hyland's teething tablets or gel, have not tried those yet.
We go through several bibs a day now due to the drooling!!

Re: I am in teething Hell...Advice needed
We've got a bunch coming in right now..molars are popping though both sides, top and bottom...we're in full force teething mode right now and she's been very uncomfortable at night and during the day. They've been the worst so far. Her gums have been so swollen and purple
I was giving her Tylenol...but then I got myself nervous about how much I was giving...not at a time, but over a length of time...not good for the tummy.
So now I've been giving her the Hylands teething tablets and they seem to be working
She's also chewing on anything and everything

You can also give Motrin if dc is 6 months old but it upset me dd's tummy. We stick to Tylenol. My sister swears by Motrin.
We also use all natural teething tablets & all natural teething drops.

Re: I am in teething Hell...Advice needed
I must use about 10 cold teething rings a day, a frozen washcloth for DS to suck on, sometimes my fingers, and the Hylands teething tablets.

Re: I am in teething Hell...Advice needed
Within the last 2 months I started using the Hyland teething tablets and they really work. Now that is all I give her, like Chelle I was concerned how much tyleonol/ motrin I was giving her. If she is really worked up then I use baby orajel fist then I give her the tablets.
