I am nervous they will put me on Insulin???

I have Gest. Diabetes and take glyburide, 5MG at night and 2.5 MG in the morning and my #s are sometimes good and sometimes too high even following the diet. Anyone know what else i can do? I am nervous that they are going to tell me at my Thur. appt that I need Insulin...? When I say my #s are high I mean after 1 hour after meal it should be 140 or below and it was just 142....has been 152...even sometimes fasting sugar, which should be 90 or below, is sometimes still 99 or 111....but this is all less often than more often??

Is it just me or do you find you're eating too much food on the "diet" the dietician put you on?

My numbers before I met the dietician were great - no need for pills, etc.
Since meeting with the dietician on Friday my numbers have been insane. Particularly the lunch numbers. I'm finding it to be too much carbs at lunch...

I haven't had the experience yet, so I'm unable to answer your question, but hope they start by adjusting your diet before going right to the shots.
