I am not too crazy about the color we painted our bedroom
Right now we have a very pale lavender color called vintage violet.
When I was picking up the paint for our new room at the new house I wanted to go with something a bit more purplish, since I felt like in certain light ours could have a pinkish tint to it.
I thought it would be the same level of color but just more purple.
Well, painted on it is waaay brighter, and I feel like it is a perfect purple for a little girl's room but not for an adult bedroom.
I am disappointed.

I love vintage violet by the way.
what color did you paint it now?
I have the whole color block at my house b/c we are doing lots of painting.

I agree 100000% !
It will stink to spend money on new paint but trust me, nothing worse than paint colors you hate.

This is the vintage violet that we started with, although I don't think it looks anything like this swatch:
And this is the color we painted with, called Lavender Meadow:
I should take pics of the rooms in the sunlight tomorow so you can see the difference.
And FIL painted the room for us, since we are moving into his house. I bought the paint on friday and he had it painted by the time we went there on Saturday to go work on the rooms. Since he did it I feel bad telling him that I want to change it, so I think I just have to live with it.
edited,the color swatches aren't coming out, but you can see them on the glidden website.

Don't feel bad! It's not your fault you don't like the color. Why should you have to live with a color you don't like because your FIL painted the room for you? Granted, he did a nice thing, but it would have been nicer of him to wait until you were there so that you could see if you liked it.
Paint the room over - you will be much more happy in the long run.

I'd feel bad about it - But I wouldn't ask HIM to paint over it, I'd just suck it up and do it myself. - Trust me, you're going to be miserable every time you look at those freakin' walls - DO it NOW !!!!

I was thinking the same thing. It would drive me nuts if I didn't fix it. And I would be more annoyed about it as time goes on.
