I am obsesssing...should I rent a bounce house or water slide?

I can't make up my mind. It's for Derek's 1st birthday...but there will be between 10 kids 3+ (maybe more than 10).

I have a swing set. I have a kiddie pool, water table, my own Little Tikes bounce house, slip n' slide, basketball hoop and I am going to be buying a sand table and the Step2 Roller Coaster in addition to all the indoor toys and outdoor toys (bikes, scooter, balls, etc).

DH thinks I am crazy and that we have enough to keep the kids busy. I priced around and I could rent a larger bounce house for around $225 or a big water slide for around $300 (cheapest I could find).

Should I rent one or just save the money?

What about putting that money towards a clown or something if you're worried.

I think it sounds like you have MORE than enough things to keep the kids entertained.

But, I will say, if you go on Walmart.com, you can buy a large waterslide for about $300 and then you'd own it.

Not that I am telling you to DO it... Chat Icon

Sounds like you have a lot already to keep the kids entertained. Derek won't even get to enjoy either anyway. 10 kids isn't a lot and there's so much other stuff going on.

How old are the kids who are attending?

Regardless, I think you have plenty. We had 20 kids at Tylers party and I didn't even take out our Bouncy House because the ages vary between 1-8 years old so I didn't want anyone getting hurt.

The kids had everything we have in our yard to play with, and honestly, all they played with were some balls. They kept busy the entire time. You don't need anything else Chat Icon

ETA: Another piece of advice, I didn't put anything water related out because I didn't want all of those wet kids in/out of my house. I wouldn't fill up the kiddie pool personally, or put water in the water table. Maybe put some rice or someting else instead. Chat Icon

ITA but I think you have more than enough and wouldn't spend the money on a clown.

Sounds like it's going to be a fun party! I think you have enough to keep the kids busy. Take the money & put it in DC bank account. Chat Icon

I don't think you need anything! And I am the queen of frivolous spending!! If you feel like you really NEED something else, how about a clown or something like that? But I still don't think it's a necessity.
