I am seriously going to cry right now...
So, all morning I have been rushing around trying to get ready to get out of here and drive out to LI. I also need to get the place ready for the cleaning lady-- which means putting away all of Sasha's stuff-- bottles, etc., stuff I don't want her touching (i.e. breaking) ,cleaning and drying everything and putting away because I don't want her to clean it. Getting all this stuff done, getting Sasha fed, dressed and changed- and me-- as you know, is not easy.
So, I finally get it all together, get her to sleep in the car seat, load up myself with all the bags of shite I need for a day away from home, roll out of my apt....
And, the elevator is broken. I can't f*cking leave my floor.
After all the stress of trying to get out early to spend time at my mom's, do an errand or two then head to the seder at MIL's... now, I am f*cking stuck here for at least another 2 hours-- presuming the elevator gets fixed by then,

Oh no!!! Can you ask a neighbor to help you down the stairs? Maybe a super or a doorman if you have one?

DH is on his way home... I don't think he wanted to be at work anyway today.  Once he is here, we can get everything down the stairs.
There is no super or doorman... I called the mgmt company and they said the repair people were on the way. But who knows how long it will take to fix.

sorry you are going through this , but look at it on the bright side, at least you have a cleaning lady to come and clean your place and don't have to worry about that

it's just so frustrating-- you get it together, then karma just laughs at you.
This is in addition to Sasha blowing out a diaper this morning after I already had her dressed-- so, I had to change her and get her dressed all over again.
My mom called me earlier and is like, are you still on schedule. I said, "schedule?!, what's that?".
Whatever, now I can finally eat breakfast I guess.

LOL, schedule!  My mom does that to me too  You would these these people never had children of their own!

What floor are you on? I used to live in a thrid floor walk up and I would get everything ready, strap the baby in the infant seat and plop him in front of the TV, run down to the car (only if I was parked right in front of the building), then run back up and get him. I wasn't gone any longer than if I had to go to the bathroom and if I didn't do this, I never would have left the house. Would that worK?
