I am still incognito, but can I join you guys???

I am a regular poster, but I am in disguise for now. I got a BFP earlier tonight. I am going to re-test in the morning to be sure.

So now what? DH & I were not actively trying and I feel completely unprepared for this. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

VERY overwhelming- even when you are trying so I know how scary it can be.

I agree with Moe. First and foremost - congrats!

And secondly, perhaps speaking and seeing your doctor will give you some peace of mind and help you through the shock of finding out you are unexpectedly pregnant. I am sure that once the reality hits you, you'll find yourself embracing your pregnancy in time

I know everything will work out for you .. it is a big change and an adjustment, even when you are planning on getting PG. So when its a surprise, it must certainly throw you for a loop - perfectly understandable.

I know the feeling of not really trying and having it happen. We weren't against it happening but not doing anything special to make it happen.

It is scary at first and I kept testing because I was sort of in denial but after it sinks in, it is great!

Congrats. I know this sounds corny buteverything happens for a reason. I am 8 weeks and it was a shock for me too. I have a 3 yr old and a 10 1/2 month old. My DH and I were deciding whether or not to have another and falling pretty much n the no side when this happened. I'm still in shock but very happy. I promise it will get better. Lots of

I was totally in your position when I got pregnant and it was a big adjustment.....good luck and if you need to talk, incognito or not - feel free to fm me!

I agree...we weren't trying at all and well, things happen for a reason! It's still shocks me...but that is wearing off and I'm just plain excited! Welcome!

As many of the other replies said, it takes awhile to get used to the idea of becoming a mom. I'm due 11/4 and sometimes it still shocks me. I think these past 36 weeks have helped me get over most of the shock. I'm not sure the fear will ever go away. I am still nervous that I won't be a good mom. But the joy definitely takes over most of the time.

I hope your pregnancy is very happy & healthy!
