I call Bullsh!t
got a look at her timesheets. She did took off time numerous times and put in that she worked...with OT no less.
She says she still has 3 personal days left and all of her sick time. She took sick days. She wants to know how she requests time off for sick. I said you can't..you take off because you are sick and then mark it a sick day.
Her boss approves it. I had mentioned that her boss was the issue.
Now what? I know this is true..her boss authorizes it and I'm as honest as Abe Lincoln with my time sheets.
I'm fuming mad.

Re: I call Bullsh!t
I think it's time to start looking for another job, if you aren't already.
If anything, it will give you some hope of the possibility of getting away from her.
I remember you writing about her a few weeks ago and another poster mentioning that if no one is doing anything about her now, it ain't gonna happen.
It sounds like they are probably right about this idiot/fraud.

Re: I call Bullsh!t
Another colleague of mind found this out together and we are both really angry. Not sure how we can bring this to light since we found out in a way that we shouldn't have.
I suspected it based on her questions to me about how to enter sick time off. She went on vacation and had no time left. She entered that she worked.
So she will end up with a total of 4 weeks off this year after being here 18 months. You're not supposed to get that as a non-exempt until you are here 10 years.
maybe I will do the same as her. Her boss approves my timesheet. Either he just blindly approves it or he knows he's doing it.

Re: I call Bullsh!t
You are going to cause mass hysteria if you report this. And you are also going to make her boss looks really bad as this boss is the one approving the time.
If you want to rock the boat... go ahead. You will either look like a hero... or you will be looking for another job. Tough to say what will happen.
Sucks to be in that position though.

I agree with what ave said
There must be a reason she gets away with this stuff. They must like her and want her to stay. It's not going to change, seems she is the favorite and you need to start looking for a new job asap.

Do you really think that you're going to be exposing something some of the higher ups don't already know? And, really, based on her history there and everything they overlook, what makes you think this will be any different?
Just look for another job instead of letting this consume you so much. Your obsession with bringing her down is only going to hurt you in the end.

Her boss' boss is who I work for. I don't work for him but he wants me to play nice and teach her.
He's definitely fukking her. No other answer.

My colleague is also ******.
I guess I could do the same and not account for my vacation days and time off on the timesheet and say oops I forgot if it ever gets brought up.

To add to this-in this horrible economy, the last thing you need is to take a gamble on this, come out on the wrong side and lose a job over this. It is much easier to find something new than it is to find something when you are unemployed.
She is not worth it. Spend your energy finding somewhere you will be happy.

Re: I call Bullsh!t
I've got the seniority and the confidence at the most senior level at the firm. I'm not going anywhere. In about a year I won't have to deal with her anymore.
This will come to the surface without me doing a thing. Also, she is about to shoot herself in the foot with taking off for the jewish holidays. That's why it will come out. I know she has no time left. The others know that too. I know others in the firm must do this too and their managers blindly approve their time. They can't be bothered to really look at it which is why middle managers should be the approvers not senior managers.
I'm not going to be such a girl scout with my timesheet.

And with your luck, you not being accurate with your time sheet will get YOU in deep sh*t. I know it suck$ but I would not compromise my reputation or career to play at her level. The truth will come out at some point. JMHo

Re: I call Bullsh!t
Yikes, I have to say I agree with Jennasmom.
I know she really gets under your skin, but don't stoop to her level.
It's so not worth it.
People are what they are, and rarely change their ingrained personality traits.
At this point, go to work, do your job and try to steer clear of her as best you can.
You never know what is going on at the top, and in the end, no matter how much seniority you have, or how cool you are with the higher ups, they can and will turn on you if needed.
I have heard stories from current to previous employers, of those in charge going through and cleaning house with all levels when people thought their job was bullet proof.
If it can happen in human services/health care it can happen anywhere.

I agree with Jennasmom as well. Dont get yourself caught in the sh!t that she is doing. You will go down before her and be the one saying "But she did it too". I say go on Jerry springer and slam her...LOL (kidding).

It sounds like this situation is affecting YOU negatively and not her. It is going to wear on YOU, not her. Either let it go, or move on to a new position. Harboring anger is terrible for your health.
Good luck to you!

Totally agree. I used to be in HR and hated doing that because everyone had a beef. I don't complain to anyone but my small circle of friends and you guys.
More drama today. Her mom was in the hospital so she took off. Mom is home now and ok and she will be off for the rest of the week due to the holidays and her mom.
But she has no time left. It just bugs the ever lovin crap out of me that she will get now close to 5 weeks time off after being there for 18 mos.

Re: I call Bullsh!t
You know what then?
Enjoy a week OFF from her.
There's certain people I come across at work that if they could be away from me, even if they WERE getting paid, I wouldn't care!
It's all about your perspective ;).

The last thing I would do is compromise your own time sheet. That is definitely something that would get you fired - and who knows what management is thinking at this point.
Obviously she is getting away with stuff, but who knows if you would be afforded the same luxury - I wouldn't risk it, IMO.

I agree with this. The last thing you want to do is be driven to rage and pettiness and toxicity yourself. Acting on impulses like this can bleed over into other areas of life and even affect your overall outlook and interactions with the world.
