I can't believe the deal I just got!
I went to NY & Co. tonight to use my City Cash. The coupons are for $15 off any purchase of $30 or more, and you can combine them.
I had 6 coupons. My total came out to about $120, but my pants were half off (that doesn't sound good!  ), bringing the total down to about $103.
I handed the salesgirl 3 of my 6 coupons, b/c it's supposed to be $15 off for every $30 that you spend, and I only spent enough to use three coupons.
Salesgirl: "you can use all of them."
Me: "oh really? I thought I only spent enough to use three."
Salesgirl: (to her manager) "she can use all of them, right?"
Manager: "Only if she has the right total."
Me: "Right. I think I can only use three. It's okay. There was some stuff that you didn't have in my size, so I am going to try and find it at a different store. I'll use it there."
Salesgirl: "Hang on."
(Salesgirl and manger put their heads together, use a calculator and try to do this very difficult arithmetic.)
Salesgirl: Yup, you can use all of them. That's $90 off. Your total is $18.75.
Me: Okay.
I feel bad b/c I know they were wrong, but I tried to correct them! After a certain point, it was just time to smile!

Wow, that's the best deal ever!
Do you ever wonder how that store makes money with all the coupons, etc? Obviously, they do, of course. I've never gotten a deal like that, but I have walked out of there with a lot of stuff for not a lot of money.

I have to say that that ALWAYS happens to me at NY & Co.!!! They must not know how to do math very well!! Great deal for you!!!!

Honestly, I love their stuff, and it makes up most of my wardrobe, but I've noticed that lately, the prices have gone up and the quality of some of what I've bought has gone down.
They are constantly sending out coupons, which is how they get me into the store, so something is working.
