I can't believe what I just did -- thank god I didn't go to sleep!
I was just sitting here typing up recipes on the recipe board and I smelled something burning and was like -- can't be my kitchen -- but went into the kitchen just to make sure and I had forgotten that I was boiling all the nipples and pacifiers since my DD has the coxsackie virus here and I wanted to sanitize everything! They must have been boiling SO long that they all melted!!!!
Great -- not only will I have a sick baby in the morning but hopefully a hungry one since I was only able to get her to take one bottle today -- and no bottles or pacifiers to calm her down!!!
I have ONE bottle in the fridge -- thank god -- one that she refused to even let me get near her today. I guess I'll use that until I can buy more!!!

I was going to go to sleep and if I had I probably would have burnt the place down. There was no water left in the pot -- just melted bottle parts!

I just got home to a candle burning in the computer room. "Somebody" lit it earlier this afternoon, left the house and we just got home at 10pm. Oh, what could have happened!!

My dad did that once when I was little. He left them boiling on the stove and went out. You can still see the fire damage on our cabinets. Luckly he came back before he burned down the house.
