I can't believe what's going on out there, this storm is UNREAL!!!
We are well over 2ft in Medford and will probably be at 3ft when all is said and done. Tons of people are stranded near me on County Rd 83. We'll be stranded for days!!! Prayers to everyone! Thank God for power though!

Crazy I've been listening to the police scanner. People are stuck all over the place. Just heard them say some old guy stuck in ambulance for 8 hours.

I can't believe what's going on out there, this storm is UNREAL!!!
It's scary out there. Both my doors were frozen shut. Poor doggie wanted to go outside to pee and I had to battle to get it open.

you won't be stranded for days. as soon as the snow stops later today, the roads will get cleared.

Idk, I'm in north shore suffolk and we have not seen a plow yet. We are definitely not leaving today.

I read that a bus carrying prisoners from court back to jail got stuck and the police had to get there to secure the scene. Sounds like the premise to a movie!!

I agree. Maybe just today, but they are pretty good at clearing the roads. By Sunday I'm sure the roads will be somewhat drivable. That being said, will I be driving anywhere, no way!

I am in farmingdale and we have about a foot and we have had plows all night. Thank god I'm on the Suffolk side. Town of Babylon has always been great in the snow

We had a payloader come by last night. This morning it doesn't even look like he came through
Thank goodness it's going to be nice and sunny tomorrow. Hopefully it will start melting right away.

im watching cbs and they are showing the lie at ocean ave . they said the plow that was responsible to plow that part broke down and lie is completely under snow.

I can't believe what's going on out there, this storm is UNREAL!!!
We easily have 3 feet in North Shore Suffolk. Have yet to see a plow. Haven't seen one since around 4pm sanding yesterday. Glad we have no where to go, but my street is all elderly folks. Go forbid there is an emergency

We have about a foot here on the south shore and our street looks like it is drivable if there is an emergency.
A few of my neighbors who are essential employees already left for work.
My basement is dry and after Sandy that's all I really care about.

I have a bride getting married tonight. I have to get to my office because we have to have a plan of attack on what to do. I feel so bad for her.

I am north shore Suffolk too and although I am staying home for sure........plows have been through a few times by me.
It's insane out!!!! Cannot believe how much we got.

We are in Centereach and got almost 3 feet. Haven't seen a plow yet anywhere. Luckily we have nowhere to be today or we'd be screwed.

Plows & emergency vehicles can't get around out here because cars are abandoned on major highways. The Town of Brookhaven issued a mandatory order for everyone to stay off the roads. It hasn't been this bad since the Blizzard of 78. It really does look like The Day After Tomorrow out there. So, I don't think it's high drama to feel "Trapped"

Surprisingly enough, I haven't seen the one question we usually see in these situations, which is....."does anyone know if Smith Haven Mall is open? Why does bad weather always bring out the need to go to the mall the day after?

They were posting FB this morning how they were planning on opening at 1 and they had so many angry responses from employees lol. They ended up not opening today.
