I cant give up soda!! Anyone else?
I have cut down alot.. but I need my 1 tall glass of diet coke everyday...
Anyone else still drinking some caffine?
Please tell me so I dont feel so guilty..lol

I probably have one class of soda a day. But I was told no more than 2 cups of caffeine.
And from waht I heard diet is worse than regular because of the artifical sweetners.

I was having a cup of coffee in the morning. I started to use the 1/2 caf coffee, but this week I haven't had any.

I cut down to one caffeinated soda a day, but boy is it hard to go without any. I hear ya! the drs all say it's fine, but at our first childbirthing class the RN said those babies who have had caffeine during the pregnancy will go through withdrawal after their born-ugh! talk about guilt!

I am addicted to diet soda, so now I drink diet caffiene free pepsi. My dr. told me that was fine, just like everything else MODERATION is the key.

I have cut back to 1 glass of caffine free diet coke a day (usually with dinner). I couldn't give it up completely...the doctor said it was fine.

This is one thing i can't give up either and my doctor said it was fine the amount i was having. I have approx 2-3 cans of Diet Coke a day. I just make sure i drink plenty of water to compensate too.

Caffein is fine- in small doses. I gave up diet soda because of the asperteme and Splenda- like someone else posted. I just can't take regular COke.

i wasn't a soda drinker pre pg, and my biggest craving is coke, only the fountain kind though, not from the can or bottle.
Actually i just finished a medium coke from wendy's..yum
Some caffeine a day is ok, everything in moderation.

I'm so glad you posted this! Now, I know I'm not the only one! I have to have my soda in the morning. I have half decaf and half reg coke. I can't drink water after I eat dinner, so I have a diet decaf soda.

I drank caffiene everyday. COffee in the morning and sometimes a diet coke with lunch. Never had any problems and my baby was completely healthy.

I still drink a couple of glasses of soda a day. My choice is Pepsi One. It has Splenda instead of nutrasweet. Splenda doesn't cross the placenta into the baby. Pepsi One does have caffeine, but about 50mg/12ounces. 3 of those is about equivalent to 1 cup of coffee.
