I can't remember if I took my prenatal!
OhMaybeBaby's post made me realize that I can't remember if I took my prenatal today! If I take it when I get home, is it bad to potentially have a double-dose? Or should I just take it tomorrow? I know it's not medication per se, but I guess in theory you can be over-vitamin-ed...

Not a big deal at all. Sometimes I wouldn't take it at all when I was so nauseous I couldn't bare the thought of swallowing a pill.

I did that the first few days, I ended up putting the bottles next to my tooth brush so I would remember lol

I've been pregnant 172 days and I have taken maybe 90 vitamins. I just couldn't get them down early on and forget a ton. Baby will be fine!!

I had to get a pill box because I would forget 10 minutes later if I had the pill with my breakfast.

This. I took them for a few months leading up to my pregnancy, but once I was pregnant I couldnt stomach them and I stopped taking them altogether.

I believe I was told that the half life of a prenatal vitamin is about 17 hours. Meaning it takes 2-3 days for it to be fully absorbed. So, if you miss 1 day you still will get some benefits of the vitamin, just not all. If you take 2, you are just going to have some pretty healthy urine because your body doesn't need all those vitamins and you'll end up peeing a lot of it out.
When I was pregnant with DD1 I missed maybe 10 vitamins the whole pregnancy. Definitely less than most people miss and my daughter still has some neuropsychological delays.
