i can't stand how much i love this child already
i had my second level II sono and oh my goodness... he was SO much more cooperative this time. (it may have been the coffee, french toast and oj i had for lunch  )
when the tech put the wand on my tummy the first thing she saw was the money shot  which was the one thing i had been thinking about since the first level II - he was so uncooperative that i wanted to make sure!
the sono tech was AWESOME (they ALL are at my dr's office) and she got the measurements she needed of the heart pretty early on, then spent the next 20 minutes "just playing around" (her words) - we got a pic of right between his legs and a few profile shots. i think this baby is going to look a lot like DH.
we also got to see him swallowing and yawning and i swear, i have never in my life seen anything so cute.
he was kicking the perfect amount, especially when the tech pushed on my tummy... he was stretching and just looked amazing. 
sorry for babbling but i just can't get over this perfect little person in my tummy... i don't know how i am going to wait 4 more months to meet him!!!
oh and the baby definitely got his revenge for us disturbing his precious sleep - he kicked me in my very full bladder all the way to the store.

I love your post and wholeheartedly agree. Sonos make me want to run out and buy and ultrasound machine for home use so I can ogle him every night. But that's kinda creepy in a Tom Cruise-y way...

I know, I love how you can see their personalities.... ALREADY!
At 11 weeks, Crouton was bouncing around.... very active, yet always was rubbing his chin in a pensive state... at 19 weeks, it was the SAME!
The sono tech looked at DH, who was looking at the screen while rubbing his chin, and she chuckled a bit.....
yeah, I think Crouton may be his clone....
On a positive note, since both DH and I are biochemists by training, maybe Crouton is thinking about what we should write in our next grant application!

I'll never forget the last sono I went for - I must have been 38 weeks. I still didn't know the gender (by choice) so they focused on everything but the goods
And I saw his face.
His eyes were open. He was looking around and making little sucking motions with his mouth. And he was blinking. I saw that little face, those dark eyes, so innocent... And I swear my heart must have just melted into a puddle....
