I couldn't imagine NOT having a dog

For the simple reason that I never have to sweep after DD eats

his new favorite spot is hanging out under the highchair

i told DH that i can't wait to get a dog, our cat is useless. all he does is use DS's dropped food as toys, and he bats them all over the house

Our dog avoided DS for the first year or so, until we started feeding DS in his highchair. Then, the dog LOVED the little person who always dropped good tasting food on the floor..

We had a dog when we were kids, and my mom said that she would go other people's houses who had small kids and think "wow, what messy kids" then she realized that Filey did the clean up

Between the crumbs and the food that Dylan gives him when he thinks we are not looking, my dog is gaining a lot of weight. Dylan gets a devious look and then we turn our heads and he throws food to the dog. Even if we don't see, Dylan gives it away by laughing when the dog catches it. If we keep the dog out of the room, the next time he comes in, he gets every little morsel.

That is definitely a huge plus - every time we go to my brothers and we feed the baby there - I tell him he needs a dog!!!
