I decided what I am going to do for Emily's 3rd Birthday Favors...
I am going to make cookie lollipops. I already have the pans from my friend's baby shower --- I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier!
So I'm trying to think of how to decorate them. I will probably ice them (anyone know a recipe for icing that gets hard? water/conf sugar and food coloring is what i'm thinking?)
Just trying to figure out how to decorate them.
Should I put a big "3" on them?
Flowers?
Sports (since the party is at My Gym?)
just icing and sprinkles??

Cute idea!
I made cookie favors for my DS christening. After making a mess trying to get the icing to harden, it went to Grandmas Kitchen in Wantagh and bought royal icing powder and you just mix it with water. You have to leave the cookies out overnight (or a few hours) and it hardens great. I also bought blue flowers from there to put on them. You have to make the icing really thick so it doesn't run off the edges.

I think a big 3 is a great idea and this way you can do the same for everyone and not make yourself crazy.
We did cookie lollipops last year. They were a hit!
