I do not know what to do- Kiddie Kandids went bankruprt and I gave a gift card as a shower gift!!
Gave SIL sister a 100.00 gift card to Kiddie kandids as a baby shower gift in December. Besides being embarassed I did not know they were going to just close out of nowhere!!! Babies R Us can't do anything. Do I just fight it w/ my credit card- or am I going to be out of the $$ I spent ? I feel like we have been robbed! I am going to replace the gift- but I am sooo annoyed. Anyone else in the same situation?

Yea I was really PIZZED off. We have done all our Photo's with them and now have no way of printing those photos!!!!!!! Fight it with the CC company. Also be thankful she didn't get the photo's done and now has no way to access them.

I have two gift certificates that were given as gifts. You should not be embarrassed in the least bit. You had no way of knowing they would go out of business.

they called me (babies r us staff) left a message like this..."come get your photo because kiddie kandids closed, I recommend you getting it asap or it will be thrown out"

If someone buys them out of bankruptcy, they may honor gift certificates and they may have access to old files. Actually, it would be an interesting copyright issue but I think that their successors would have rights to print old files. This doesn't mean that I think there will be a buyer, though. I would absolutely be disputing charges for any service or product that they have not yet delivered.

Babies R Us is replacing all Kiddie Kandid Gc's/Certs with ones from there store - Just need to goto your local BRU with the GC/Cert's and they will give you one of there Gc's..... I did it yesterday in Massapequa Park..
From what i was told from Corp. Office of BRU they are only honoring this till 2/14/10...
