I don't have enough registry items for number of guests coming to my shower.

I've already put so many unnecessary items on my registry. Everything is flying off and I just don't have anything left to put on my registry.

We are going to have one cluttered home. Half the stuff we won't be using for a year.

Now I'm thinking we should add toys for 2 year olds????

I'm having the same issue - My Mom called and said people were 'complaining' to her b/c all of the bigger items were already purchased. -
I added stuff I didn't originally have on there, like a swing, and a 2nd lightweight stroller .......
but other than that, I'm w/ you. I don't want to register just for the sake of registering ..........I have plenty of 'little things' that can add up ........but people want to buy the big stuff I guess so you remember 'so and so bought my high chair' KWIM?

I am HOPING people will just give me a GC

I just increased my gift card number to 10. I hope people will know that means we prefer gift cards.

Against DH's wishes, I added diapers, wipes, changing pads, but no one is buying us those. haha I would think that is a crappy gift and would probably not give that as a gift either.

Is there an option to add $25, $50 and $100 gift certificates to your registry?

The sad part of this is you are probably going to bring a lot of stuff back because you're not even going to use it. Also be careful with the items that you're going to store for a year. I would just double check them to see if their not broken or missing parts because I know BRU will not take it back even if you have a gift receipt.

I had to keep adding also because there wasn't enough.

Some things I added:
Learning Table
Toys for when he was older.

I also registered for things I knew I would be returning:
Wipes warmer
Bottle sterlizer
Bottle warmer etc.

Not sure if you have these - but you will most likely use them with your DC:
Cool Mist Humidifier
Sound Machine
Booster Seat for travel

Also - did you do an inflatable tub for when the baby outgrows the regular tub?

I had scanned a gift card at the BRU store. There was no designated dollar amount. It just shows up on my registry with a "NA" price. I couldn't figure out how to add gift certificates to my registry online.

Why would these things be a crappy gift? As a new mom, I can say that diapers and wipes are probably the most useful gifts. A lot more so then the zillions of clothes I have gotten, many of which he's already grown out of. DS was born on 12/30 and I still haven't had to buy diapers since I am still stocked from my shower. I got a couple of diaper cakes even that I took apart to use.

Wipes go pretty quickly as well. I already had to buy refills for those.

Giftcards honestly have been very useful. I've used them to buy my formula.

The same thing happened to me. My family complained there were no bigger items left..I added about 6 things and they were gone within a few days.....The latest addition is a ride on toy....puzzles....basically stuff for toddlers....It's amazing how generous people are isn;t it?

I don't have any toddler toys on my registry. I am going to BRU after work today and start scanning. If I remember correctly, the toy selection at BRU was really limited.

Re: I don't have enough registry items for number of guests coming to my shower.

I actually added the toddler stuff online...For me being on bedrest it was just easier. I also added a potty....a toddler bundle me.....Its hard because you don't want to chose to many things you won't need yet because items will change....products will get recalled....new patterns..etc...but I figured we may as well get what we can now.....with twins it will definately help!.....Not sure but did you add different age range baby einstein books and dvd's? I know they have 3 mnth, 9mnth,12 mnth and 24 mnth varieties...HTH!
