There is nothing wrong with seeing if you like another doctor better. You have to feel comfortable and have trust in your doctor that is what is most important.

Re: i dont know if i should switch...HELP!!
1st off, I want to express my sympathies for your loss. Nothing pains me more than to know that someone else has gone through the suffering of having a baby that they could not take home, and were left with an empty womb, empty heart & empty arms.
That being said, I, too, had a mc, but at 4 months. I completely felt that my doctor(s) did NOTHING for me, and had absolutely no bedside manner about my situation. I only saw her once at the hospital for not even 3 mins, and never saw her again after I left, despite me going for a checkup a week later! Needless to say, I changed that doctor immediately, and I am absolutely happy that I did. My current doctor is sooooo much better... a lil kooky at times, but she has my best interests at heart at all times, and I can't complain with that!

My sympathies on you m/c.
For me, giving birth is a huge and very important part of your life and I truly believe that it's imperative that you feel 100% comfortable that you are being taken care of properly. If you do not feel that way about your present Dr., then go and find one that you do. Don't feel bad about it either!

Re: i dont know if i should switch...HELP!!
I have to say after 4 m/c's, I have a very strong connection with my Dr. He absolutely made is easier on me, as did the other Dr's in the group. He actually cried with DH and I after my first one. I felt supported and cared about. He recently moved but I still use the practice. I travel 30 minutes away and will deliver about 40 minutes away (as I did with DD#1)because I would never switch. I think you need to feel connected especially given your history.

You have to be very comfortable with your OB. You will be seeing a lot of him/her over the next 9 months, so I think it is important that you have a good relationship.
Try another doctor and see how you feel. You have to do what is best for you!
