I don't know what else to do....

My DS just turned 8 months yesterday and he is still giving me problems with sleeping in the crib. I tried it for a whole week straight and he was waking up at least 4 times. I finally gave him a bottle and put him in the pack n play by our bed---very bad I know, but me and DH both work fulltime and we had to get some sleep.

Now, we are keeping him in the pack n play by our bed. He still wakes up for a 4:00 bottle. What should I do? I know, I know, back to the crib and let him CIO?? Please let me know someone out there has experienced this. TIA!

Just an idea - keep him in the pack n play since he is used to it, but move it in to his own room. That's what we did with DD and the basinet, it really helped with the transition - this way even though the room was strange to her, she was still sleeping in the same bed.
As for waking up, maybe try mixing cereal in his last bottle to fill him up more? Its possible he isnt getting enough from the bottle.

Is he taking solids yet? If not very many he may still need that bottle. My daughter started sleeping through at 6-7 months but she needed that bottle until she was really taking solids 3 times a day in addition to all of her bottles.
I'm not a fan of CIO so I can't tell you to do that. I think Kathy had a great idea about putting the bassinet in his room. What about a noise machine? We used one for a long time. Maybe he's used to hearing you and DH breathe and move and his room is just too quiet for him.

Personally, I think that if he takes one bottle during the night and then goes right back to sleep that you already have your answer. Not all babies can sleep for 10+ hours without a middle of the night snack. Feed him and relax is my opinion.
