i dont know what to think
 my best friend called me tonight, her mom passed away today. her brother found her, at home  she was 49. its so hard, she lost her father 5 years ago, she found her father at home
i know how it feels, I lost my father 6 years ago, but I dont know what to say or do. she and her brother are alone now, they have no other relatives. all i keep thinking about is her having to plan and pay for a funeral, settle the house, who will care for her mother's 3 dogs. She is 25 and her brother is 22. 
why? i just dont get it. i never will. she has been put through so much her entire life. it crushes me for her.

oh karin i am so sorry  you don't have to say a thing to her, just let her know that you are there for her, whatever she needs. i am so sorry for her loss.

i guess its that I feel like I need to help her. she and her brother are alone. like where does she begin dealing with her mom's house, the expense of a funeral, her mom's 3 dogs and a mortgage, estate etc. where would someone even begin in this situation.

Your Friend and her brother are not alone they have you & your Family, just be there for them. Let her know that we are all praying for her & her brother. I lost both of my parents too. My Mom almost 3 years & my Dad 11 years ago. You don't have to say anything just being there will help them through their time of need.
What your friend needs to do is find out who her mothers Lawyer is and if she has a will. If her mother has insurance
that will pay for her funeral. I went through al of this when my mom passed away. The lawyer will help her with all the rest and let her know what to do.
