I'm so sorry. DH has been laid off twice since I've known him. Both times he has just missed the cutoff. Good luck
This is actually the FOURTH time one of us has been laid off since we got married
But that just shows you that you can make it through this again because you've made it before.
As for TTC-obviously you have to make this decision for yourself, but I don't think I would let a temporary situation get in the way of the opportunity of a lifetime. If you really think this is one of your last opportunities to have a child and you really want a child, I would still go for it. There is never a perfect time.

Re: I don't usually start these kinds of posts ...
Just got an email from my boss - he has been making some calls for me (within the company).
And I just reached out to someone internally that may be able to get me a shot at a position that I did a few years ago but it's a long shot (and in the city).

ITA w/this. Please don't put this on hold if you really want to have a family. You will find another job and things will work out for the best!

I agree to but would add to make sure you have continuing health insurance so it's not a pre-existing condition.

Wendy, I am so sorry. I can't believe it's happening again! I really hope your boss is able to find you something internally. You've been so loyal throughout the layoffs, you think they would reward you by helping you out.

I'm so sorry! I'm not sure what's worse is being blindsided (which i have seen before and that is not pretty) or being told in advance and agonizing! I'm so sorry I pray there is something better out there for you.
In the meantime live your life and like someone said dont let this event stop you from what you want!

Omg, I'm so sorry!!!! That's horrible!!!!
Are you absolutely sure you're on the list? How trustworthy is your source?
I wouldn't take TTC off the table permanently, you'll find a new job and everything will be back to normal againi in no time!!!!!!
