I don't want to get too excited, but (analyze me please!) Sorry if TMI

This morning I woke up feeling a lot of pressure like I had to go #2. I did, but it was weird because the pressure didn't really feel like it was meant for that (if that makes and sense.)

I was doing some cleaning and started to feel dull achiness in my lower back.

I then felt like I had to pee, so I did and low and behold it appears I have lost my mucus plug, which I have never had any signs of prior to this at all throughout the pregnancy- I just know because it was tinged with blood.

I have the lower back achiness still and feel yucky in my abdomen- a very slight crampy feeling, but not true crampiness.

I am 38.5 weeks. I am wondering how close (or how far away) I might be to seeing my little MiaChat Icon

Did you call your doctor to tell them? I don't think it will be that much longer. My friend lost her Mucus plug and the next night she went into labor. But I would call your DR and just let them know whats going on. They might want to see you.

I lost mine a week and a half before I had my son.
I know people that have lost theirs and they went into labor shortly after!

I hope yours comes soon!

OOO sounds promising! Hope this means you are close!!!... I lost some (or all) of my mucus plug on Sun. night and still nothing. But I think my situation is a little different because I think I lost it because of an internal I had had in L&D earlier Sun. morning.

The doctor said to only call if my water broke, if my contractions are 5 minutes apart for an hour or if I start bleeding like a period . . .

woohooChat Icon sounds good!!! This may be it for ya

My dr only wants to hear from me if my water breaks or if my contractions are 5-6 min apart and I can not talk through them.

I woke up this morning with a contraction and have been having them on and off all morning but nothing strong enough yet...Im hopeful but this happens daily so...

So far no more real signs of anything. I don't even know if I lost the whole mucus plug or just part of it. She is very active today. I have been getting a lot of pressure and tightness, but completely painless. No pattern to the tightness, so must just be braxton hicks. Back pain gone, no crampiness anymore. Maybe something over the next couple of days (I hope!)

The different pressure sounds like she's moving downward.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Also labor can start with light cramping & progress signficantly over the hours.

If it was just the mucus plug, I'd say it could be up to a week but the pressure makes me think a 1-3 days.
