I dont want to send my baby to school tomorrow

I just got a phone call (emergency line where its a mass calling) from the superintendent of Emmas school. It said "a situation has arrisen that may be deemed as a threat directed at the high school" Not the elementary which is in a different town. All doors will be secured. The authorities have been notified.

I know my little Kindergartener is not in high school this still has me totally shaken!

Keep her home then...I would probably do the same thing, esp in the absence of more info. I hope it's not as bad as it sounds. I'm sure she won't complain about a long weekend.

for my own peace of mine i will keep my dc home!! sorry your going through this.. my MIL's school get bomb threats all the time

I would keep her home. For your piece of mind, I'm sure if she missed the one day it wouldn't hurt

i just listened again and it said the authorities are involved with the student...

is that the threatening student or the person who told?
