I did it when DS was under 8 weeks old! He didnt cry but he bled for awhile and I felt horrible...It happens and they live so dont worry!

OMG I just did this last night!! ANd it was bleeding like crazy. I finally wrapped it with a tissue and put a sock on his hand  He cried more for his shots so I think it hurt me more then it hurt him.

I did the same thing to my dd at about the same age. I found manicure scissors to be easier with their flimsy nails than clippers at that age.

Seriously I am so afraid to clip 'em  that my little man has talons. NO wait, talons with dirt under 'em now that I look at them so I win the bad mommy award. I'll be doing his little manicure TONIGHT!!!!

I did the same thing! And DH gave me grief, saying I need to be careful, etc....and guess what? No more than 2 weeks later, he did the same thing!! I felt awful when I did it, but it happens and it's so tough to clip their nails because they move so much. I will not do it anymore, I make DH do them and I just bought the baby nail files and file them down if they are not long, but need to be trimmed. Don't worry
