I feel like I am not entertaining enough for my kid
I feel like DS is bored by me and what we do together.
He is in the exersaucer right now and screeching away....but I feel like it is a constant rotation of the exersaucer, reading books and us playing with small toys.
So, what do you do with your 4-5-6 month olds?

Before Steven was crawling, that's basically what we did. He went from one "thing" to another. From the exersaucer to the jumparoo, to the floor to play then back to the exersaucer, etc. There's not much else to do until he starts crawling around.

I agree, this is what I do with dd as well...it is from the floor to my arms to the crib to the jumper back to the floor.

Re: I feel like I am not entertaining enough for my kid
I feel the same way too. My DS is in daycare during the week and I sometimes feel like I must be so boring compared to them.
I basically have been doing all of things that the PPs stated. And when I feel that we've had enough in the house, I take him out shopping or visiting or for a walk. We're also starting a music class in a couple of weeks.
I have noticed a big transition over the last week though. (He's about 4-1/2 months.) Yesterday he got excited under his activity mat like I had never seen him before. He was rolling on his sides, moving himself around, grabbing at things, putting them in his mouth. It seems that as they discover mobility, they start finding new excitement in things.

same as you (ds is 4 months). we do a lot of tummy time, play mat, singing, books, going for walks, looking out the window, i do bath time during the day for a fun "activity", jumperoo, visit w/ grandparents, etc.

I wouldn't worry about it. If he isn't unhappy then that is telling you something. Trust me, in acouple of months you will be asking yourself to go back to those months. You will be on the floor all day long and getting up and down to get him when he is crawling all over the place and starts walking. I have rug burns on my knees to prove it.
