I feel like this might sound stupid but it bothers me a little bit
On a scale of lets say, one end being more of a bully, and the other end being a pushover, I would say DD is closer to the pushover side.
I didn't really think much of it until the same few people in my family ALWAYS point it out . I just get paranoid now that she won't stand up for herself, or be more aggressive when she needs to be. I guess it bothers me too because I'm more on the opposite end...
Should I just let it be? I mean there's nothing I can do right, it's her personality. Maybe when she's older I can teach her to stand up for herself...or does that sound stupid?
Sorry, its just bothering me and when my family says stuff it really makes me feel like something is wrong

Hrm.. AJ isn't bully but she speaks her mind. She's shy and will cry before pushing back but she will also say "NO" to someone if she thinks they are doing wrong. We play at home with "Say "no-no daddy"" etc.
Actually she just put me in time out which is why I'm on the computer
I mean you can kinda show them but yeah, it may just be who she is.

I have always had more of your daughters nature, and over time, it may get better, but this is generally how she will likely be.
It's good and bad, like anything else, KWIM?
I'm very sensitive, but I'm also sensitive to others...I feel I'm a lot more loving than other people in my life and more tolerant, for the most part.
Just as it would be hard for you to change, it would be hard for her, too.

I understand how you feel. DS was a full pushover until he nearly turned 3. Then he saw another kid that he hung around with that was a bully. Something changed in him. I truly wish I had my pushover back.
