I feel so bad for my brother..

I feel so bad for my brother. He is a good kid, on his way to becoming a cop, which is why this is so ironic. He goes to college, works 2 jobs and is in the police academy and last night he was harrassed by the cops.

He wasnt doing anything but apparently fit the description of a robber in the area. The cops pulled him out of the car, cuffed him, searched him..basically roughed him up and then let him go when they realized he obviously wasnt the one they were looking for. It just annoys me to no end! He does nothing wrong and because he is an 18 year old with a bandanna on his head (he was on his way to play football) they do this! I understand if he fits the description but come on..was all of that truly necessary?!?

Then tonight I see a bunch of kids in a car, BLASTING rap music, speeding down a residential block and I am sure, they wont be stopped..***??

Just had to vent!

things are so unfair.

In the past month, my sister's car was destroyed in a hit-and-run, my grandmother's car was damaged in a hit-and-run, someone tried to steal the side mirror off of MY car and broke it, sister's BF's windows were smashed, and the house/cars were egged.

In fact, there are teenaged boys in a car that have been driving through the neighborhood, screaming and screeching their tires all night.

WHERE ARE THE COPS?!?!
They don't even come when we call them.

And we live in a pretty expensive, extremely quiet, OLD PERSON neighborhood!

sounds too familiar. Sorry about what happened to your brother, it is such a scary, helpless situation. The same happenend to my 15 year old brother this year. He was actually working at the rectory that night answering calls with a friend. They were walking home, the police did not believe them, they cuffed my brother and were so mean to him. The poor kid was so shaken up.

It just boggles my mind...

When he said he was a cadet..they didnt even believe him. When he told them my dad was on the job for 20 years..they didnt believe him. Just a sad world I guess.
