I feel so, so blessed...

to have been born in this country and to be having my child in this country. I am watching the Duggars on TLC right now and they are in El Salvador at an orphanage. The conditions that these children live in, and what the parents have to go through in order just to give their children basic necessities breaks my heart. I feel horrible for these people and if I could adopt all those orphan children, or give millions of dollars to these parents in order to support their families than I would. I wish I could. At the same time, seeing these images makes me feel so blessed for all the things that I have. We are not rich at all, esp. by Long Island standards but we are incredibly blessed that we have an apartment in a beautiful neighborhood, two running cars, food to eat, we are healthy, and have a loving family surrounding us.
Is this country perfect, nope. I could sit here and say all the things that is wrong with it but instead of complaining about the things that make this country bad, I am so blessed to be living here and for the things that we do have.
It's so easy to complain about what we don't have, and this is not me judging any of you, I am the first to admit that I complain a lot about money, etc. But watching something like this really helps to put things into perspective and sit back and thank God for what I do have and pray for those that have nothing.

Being born in a different country i totally feel blessed to be giving birth to my little one here. It is very different in some part of the world.

The healthcare here alone is why I feel so blessed!
I know there is so much cr@p about our healthcare system here but I wouldn't want to be delivering a baby- or having any other medical procedures done- in a many of these other countries. That is for sure!
