DD is 13 months and he said we could start both. I decided to hold off on the PB though. AND she hates the eggs.

We were ok'd for eggs around 9 months and were told by our pediatrician that after 1 year was fine for peanuts. It's recommended not to give nuts until 3 years old though, so we're in no rush.

We are waiting until 12 months for eggs.

And 2 years for peanuts.....we have a severe peanut allergy in the family.

I believe I gave DD the scrambled egg baby food mix in a jar probably 7 months or so. Beechnut makes them. Peanut butter I think we did a little after 1 year. I would have waited if she had any allergies to anything else but she didn't so we tried it. HTH.

eggs at 1 yr, PB Dr recommends we wait until 2 yrs.

oops - DD is 8.5 months old, and I've already made her scrambled egg yolk omelet. I thought it was OK.....

PB - I'm def holding off for a while though. Where me and her sperm donor aren't allergic.... his father is SEVERLY AND UTTERLY allergic to nuts.... you can't even touch him after you've had nuts in your own hand.

I think i'm going to take it step by step with her like with the 3-5 day trial with new foods.... I think I'm going to touch her with nuts in one spot for 5 days 2x per day and see if there's a topical reaction, and then oh so slowly give her some nut..... but that's not going to be for months yet....

At DD's 6 month visit we were told we could start eggs next month. She said to try the yolk alone first and the white after. There is no history of egg allergy in either family, so we will prob give it to her around 7 months as suggested.

My ped had DD start eggs around 10 months - but told us to hold on PB until 2 or 3 (I will have to ask him again when it gets closer to that time).

Ped gave us the okay for eggs at 9 months.

At the same time we got the okay for nuts but she said peanut butter can be a choking hazard so she would stay away for a bit longer.

We dont have any allergies in teh family.

We started eggs early because I didn't know I wasn't supposed to use the whole egg, probably around 7 months. My Dr told me to wait until 18months-2years for PB but we started it at 16 months.

My ped said eggs at 1 year and pb at 2. But DS had pb at 14 months. We don't have any peanut allergies in our families, so we decided to go for it.

He doesn't really like eggs (but will eat some of an egg sandwich when DH makes one for himself) and I think pb confuses him, so he doesn't love that yet either.

We gave both to DS around 12 months....he hates eggs, but LOVES PB&J.

yolk only - 9 months
whole egg - 1 year

no PB or shellfish until at least 2. everything else is fine.

different ped's have different answers for this one, mine said 1 yr for both and we did, DS is now 2+ and has no problems with either one thankfully.

I was told not to start pb until two with both my kids, two different docs and we have no allergies in our family. Egg yolks 9 months, Whole egg one yr.

I was OK'd egg whites at about 9 mths and the whole egg at 1 yr...peanut butter my dr says not til atleast 2.

Eggs--not sure when they said it was okay but we started at about 11 months. he was fine the first few times but now he is allergic to eggs and the allergist will re-test him once a year. obviously, he is not allowed to eat eggs.

The allergist would prefer if we waited until the age of 3 for peanut products.
